Nearly 60 representatives of WI Cancer Council member organizations attended the WI Cancer Council Annual Meeting on October 22, 2015 at the Sheraton Hotel in Madison, WI. The WI Cancer Council Annual Meeting kicked off with a Member Appreciation Luncheon to offer gratitude for members’ efforts to incorporate cancer control activities in their work. Dr. Patrick Conway, a Radiation Oncologist from Gundersen Health System and Incoming Chairperson to the WI Cancer Council, served as the day’s MC. Additional highlights from the Annual Meeting include:
- Carrie Riccobono from Froedtert/Medical College of WI Center for Diagnostic Imaging shared her success in promoting the WI CCC Plan with her partners. Emily Reynolds and Sarah Kerch, both from the WI CCC Program, shared useful tools to help in promoting and integrating the WI CCC Plan in your work. Their presentations can be found online here.
- Amy Conlon, Program Director at the WI CCC Program, presented on the WI Cancer Council Revitalization: 2016 & Beyond. After hearing from Amy, small groups shared their thoughts on how the WI Cancer Council can best support their WI CCC Plan implementation efforts.
- Policy Update from Paul Westrick, WI Cancer Council Policy Committee Chairperson.
