National Cancer Institute (NCI) Releases Funding Opportunities to Support Cancer Moonshot

In December 2016, the 21st Century Cures Act was signed into law, giving the National Institutes of Health (NIH) $1.8 billion over 7 years to fund projects supporting the Beau Biden Cancer Moonshot, started by former Vice President Joe Biden. This funding allows the National Cancer Institute (NCI) within NIH to accelerate research in areas that align with the goals of the Cancer Moonshot and recommendations set out in the Blue Ribbon Panel Report. NCI has begun posting Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOA)online to support this work and are planning for longer-term collaborative efforts. More information is available on the NCI’s Cancer Moonshot website. You can also sign up to receive e-mail updates regarding funding opportunities and other Cancer Moonshot related efforts.
