The Tobacco Control Program Health Education Consultant is responsible for assuring best practices of tobacco prevention and control education and health promotion are integrated into programs administered by local health departments, tribal health centers, community based organizations and statewide programs. The consultant provides leadership for program coordination and integration with partners at the local, state and federal levels in the areas of chronic disease prevention and health, minority health and tobacco control. The consultant works in the development, implementation and enforcement of public health policy related to tobacco prevention and control.
