WI Breast Cancer Task Force Invites Collaboration

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Task Force (WBCTF) would like to invite partners to get involved in a project being developed to address breast cancer mortality disparities in Milwaukee. The Task Force has been doing outreach and engaging partners in several areas of Milwaukee where African American women are dying of breast cancer at nearly twice the rate of women in surrounding areas. The coalition will partner with biotech company, Genentech, to roll out a project called SisterPact, which was successfully piloted in 2015 in Memphis, TN. The goal of the collaborative project will be to increase awareness about local resources and promote breast cancer screening. If you have questions or would like to get involved please contact Sarah Mroz. To learn more about the WBCTF click here.
