Sister Pact Fuels Breast Cancer Screening Conversations in Milwaukee

Last month, sister Pact launched in Milwaukee, and already it has made a splash. Sister Pact is a breast cancer awareness program that encourages women to make a commitment – a Sister Pact – to address their breast health. Coordinated by the WI Breast Cancer Task Force, dozens of community groups, neighborhood associations, health organizations and local leaders are collaborating to improve breast cancer screening rates in Wisconsin.

A four-month media campaign featuring Milwaukee women was launched in late February and ongoing awareness events are scheduled to take place throughout 2017. Sister Pact has received coverage from several local media outlets and has been featured at multiple recent events, allowing the program to gain momentum in the targeted areas of Milwaukee.
