Lisa M. Michels, MSN, APNP – Medical Oncology/Cancer Genetics, Agnesian HealthCare Fond du Lac Agnesian HealthCare has been a member of the Wisconsin Cancer Council for over four years. Their cancer services department treats nearly 600 patient each year. As a part of the community needs assessment, the organization focuses on WI CCC Plan priorities taking aim at decrease tobacco use and alcohol consumption, and increasing healthy active lifestyles. In addition to these efforts, the organization provides free cancer screenings to community members on their day dedicated to “Living Smart”.
By teaming up with the WCC, Agnesian HealthCare gains networking opportunities and support systems from other cancer centers in the state looking to make the same positive influence in reducing the burden of cancer.
