Helping families understand the cancer risks of alcohol

In honor of Alcohol Awareness Month, we are excited to announce a new partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services’ Small Talks Campaign!

The Small Talks Campaign aims to reduce underage drinking in Wisconsin by helping parents, teachers, and other trusted adults talk with youth about the negative effects of underage drinking.
Alcohol consumption is linked to at least seven different kinds of cancer — yet cancer often is left out of conversations about alcohol risk.

The newest Small Talks resource is designed to fix this. Alcohol, Kids, and Cancer: Making the Connection is an easy-to-use tool designed to help adults and kids understand the connection between alcohol and cancer.

We are very excited to partner with the Small Talks Campaign. More resources will be coming soon!
