The Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (WI CCC Program) is seeking to hire a Policy Coordinator. With this position, The WI CCC Program will continue to implement policy, systems and environmental (PSE) cancer control interventions, working with its member organization, the Wisconsin Cancer Council and its policy committee. The WI CCC Program brings together statewide partners that address the whole continuum of cancer control in Wisconsin including prevention, screening, treatment, survivorship and palliative care and priority cross-cutting issues, including policy, systems and environmental changes, access to care and health disparities.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
- 1-3 years of public policy experience, working on cancer or health related policy is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with state level policy analysis, working with legislators, and other policy makers, as well as working with volunteers on grassroots organizing is required.
- Leadership/facilitation experience with a membership voluntary organization, especially committee work and group facilitation are important assets to the position.
- Experience with health policy agenda development and implementation, health systems work, collaborative partnerships, media campaigns and/or public relations are preferred.
