Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center, UW Carbone Cancer Center, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are hosting a webinar entitled “Equal Access, Better Outcomes: A Community Conversation on Multiple Myeloma and Health Equity” on October 26, 2024 from 9:30am – 11:00am at ThriveOn King Neighborhood Hall (2351 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53212).
Multiple myeloma is a complex and aggressive form of cancer that disproportionately impacts certain racial and ethnic groups, particularly African Americans, who are twice as likely to be diagnosed with this disease compared to white Americans. This symposium is dedicated to understanding disparities, identifying actionable solutions, and fostering collaborations that ensure equal access to care for all patients, regardless of race, socioeconomic status, or geographic location.
