The American Cancer Society released Cancer Statistics 2025, an annual report on cancer facts and trends.
The report found that that from 1991 to 2022 the cancer mortality rate in the United States has declined by 34%, averting approximately 4.5 million deaths. However, progress is threatened by increasing incidence of many cancer types, especially among women and younger adults.
