Tri-Networks Policy Webinar #1: The Importance of Pursuing the “P” in PSE

May 10, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

This is the first webinar in a series of three webinars for National Comprehensive Cancer Control Programs and Coalitions designed to highlight how policy can be used to advance cancer-related goals and objectives and increase health equity. During this webinar, presenters will discuss the policy opportunities available through the next CDC 5-year Cooperative Agreement (DP22-2202), discuss the difference between education and lobbying and the parameters for staff at public agencies, and explain how HPV vaccination can serve as a starting point for implementing policy activities with a CCC coalition. Participants will also hear from a state that has actively engaged in policy and learn about the activities state agency staff take on and how they work with their CCC coalition to progress policy goals and objectives in their CCC plan.
