Indiana Cancer Consortium: Cancer Prevention in Dental Clinics (HPV and Tobacco)

The Indiana Cancer Consortium is hosting a webinar for dental providers focused on HPV and tobacco education on November 13, 2024 at 5-6:30 pm CST. The webinar is FREE. Register now!

The goal of the webinar is to teach dental office teams how to speak with their patients about HPV and tobacco cessation. Speakers will discuss the scope of the problem in Indiana and practical strategies for getting patients to receive HPV vaccine and initiate tobacco cessation.

Featured speakers include:

  • HPV Presentation:  Alessandro Villa DDS, PhD, MPH, Chief of Oral Medicine, Oral Oncology and Dentistry, Professor, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Miami Cancer Institute.
  • Tobacco Cessation:  Deb Buckles, CPAHA NCNTT,  Tobacco Control Program Leader, Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center
