Ending nicotine addiction is hard but there are ways to make it easier on the person and on the health care team. Systematic integration of evidence-based cessation services improves quit rates in tribal and urban communities. Proven strategies (5A’s, team roles, EHR, medications, counseling options, staff education) and implementation and education tools will be shared to easily embed cessation support services throughout the entire health system.

Target Audience:
Physicians, nurses, health educators, administrators, and support staff working with American Indian and/or Alaska Native communities.
