
Gilda’s Club Madison – Hereditary Cancer: Causes, Clues, & a Call to Action

Gilda’s Club Madison, in partnership with the Genetic Support Foundation, are excited to host a workshop open to the public called Hereditary Cancer: Causes, Clues, & a Call to Action (in both English and Spanish) on Saturday, April 26th from 10:30am-1pm.
Katia Vine, a genetic counselor from the Genetic Support Foundation, will provide an overview of genetic counselors, explaining their role and expertise. She will also differentiate between hereditary and sporadic cancers, discuss when it’s appropriate to consult a genetic counselor, and outline what to expect during a genetic counseling appointment.
Event Schedule:
- 10:30-11:30am – Presentation in English
- 11:30am-12:15pm – Lunch for All
- 12:15-1pm – Presentation in Spanish
