When it comes to hereditary cancer, knowledge is power!
This empowering community forum is designed to equip you with the knowledge and tools to proactively beat cancer before it has a chance to strike. Here’s what you can expect:
- An interactive session on how genetic information helps guide early detection and prevention by Jenny Geurts, MS, CGC, Director of Genetics Counseling at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
- A healthy cooking demonstration with cancer survivor and chef, Amberlea Childs of Plant Joy.
- An energizing line dancing exercise session led by cancer survivor, nurse, and line dance instructor, Angela Scott of Get Dance Waisted.
- Inspiring personal stories from “Previvors”- (People with an inherited gene mutation that puts them at an increased risk of developing cancer), who took proactive steps to prevent the disease.
