Beginning with Healthy People 2010, published in 2000, the federal government has recognized people with disabilities as experiencing health care disparities. Studies initially focused on inequitable cancer screening services. More recent studies have raised questions about delays in cancer diagnoses and inequitable cancer treatments. This talk will provide an overview of what is known about cancer-related care and people with disabilities.
