Cervical cancer impacts 6.1 in 100,000 women in Wisconsin each year. Between 2018-2022, over 900 women were diagnosed with cervical cancer.

In late January, Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ) announced the inaugural edition of their monthly publication, WCHQ Health Insights, which begins with an in-depth analysis of Cervical Cancer in Wisconsin. This report highlights that cervical cancer is largely preventable through HPV vaccination and routine screening, yet it continues to disproportionately impact women of color and women in their prime working and caregiving years. More work is needed to prevent cervical cancer in Wisconsin.
