Session 1: Cancer Prevention & Risk Reduction
Wednesday, September 10th, 2025 – 12 pm – 1:30 pm
This session equips Community Health Workers with essential knowledge to support cancer prevention in their communities. Learn about cancer disparities in the U.S. and Wisconsin, explore the American Cancer Society’s guidelines on healthy living, and gain tools to educate others on skin cancer, tobacco risks, cancer preventing vaccines, and environmental hazards like radon. Strengthen your role as a trusted health advocate with practical, evidence-based strategies.
Session 2: Cancer Screening & Early Detection
Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025 – 12 pm – 1:30 pm
This session empowers Community Health Workers with the latest cancer screening guidelines, highlights disparities in screening rates across the U.S. and Wisconsin, and shares proven strategies to
increase early detection. Learn how to guide clients through screening options for breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, and prostate cancers using trusted tools and resources.
Session 3: Cancer Survivorship
Wednesday, November 12th, 2025 – 12 pm – 1:30 pm
This session helps Community Health Workers understand cancer survivorship, explore survival trends and disparities in the U.S. and Wisconsin, and recognize the evolving needs of survivors—whether in
treatment, post-treatment, or long-term. Gain access to trusted tools and resources to better support and guide clients through survivorship care.
