Organization Description The Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene was founded in 1903 as the State’s public and environmental health laboratory. A part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, WSLH scientists and academic leaders provide analytical testing, consultation, research, education and training in a variety of technical specialties, including infectious diseases, genetics, newborn screening, cytology, environmental chemistry and microbiology, industrial hygiene/occupational health and toxicology.
