WI Outperforms National Average on 36 of 54 Health Measures

The UW Population Health Institute released “Opportunities to Make Wisconsin the Healthiest State” which showed Wisconsin was behind the national average on 18 measures. Of particular importance to cancer, Wisconsin performed poorer than the national average in percentage of adults who are obese or overweight, percentage of adults who are excessive drinkers, and state level public-health spending per person.
