DESCRIPTION:Are You Ready to Quit Smoking? ​ \nJbaaccoin Advocate Aurora Health’s 4 Week (weekly for 4 weeks) Smoking Cessation Program\, Freshstart\, sponsored by the American Cancer Society. ​ \nThe primary goal of Freshstart is to help participants plan a successful quit attempt by teaching effective ways to overcome nicotine dependence. Freshstart is designed to help any tobacco user\, including those who may be unsure about wanting to quit\, and specifically addresses ambivalence about quitting. SUMMARY:Racism as a Public Health Crisis: The Black Community and Lung Health
DESCRIPTION:Beginning in 2020\, across the country\, elected leaders have been passing resolutions declaring racism a public health crisis. According to the American Public Health Association\, there have been 231 declarations at local\, county\, and state levels. Milwaukee County was the first place in the country to make a declaration\, and we will hear from one of the key individuals behind that work\, Lilliann Paine.
