DESCRIPTION:This one-hour session will teach participants about the importance of good bone health for overall wellness and longevity. Special emphasis is on osteoporosis and steps families can take to reduce their risk and stay healthy.\n\nThe session will cover:\n• Why bones are important to our overall health\n• What is osteoporosis and osteopenia\n• Risk factors\n• Warning signs/fractures\n• Reducing risk of disease and injury\n• Screenings\n• Where to find more information and resources\n\nAdditional resources and a small incentive will be available for participants following the webinar. This webinar is presented by GrapeVine – a program of the Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation\, which trains nurses to lead women’s health education in their Wisconsin communities.
