Wisconsin Cancer Council Committees

The Wisconsin Cancer Council has various committees that members are encouraged to become involved with. Below is a short explanation of each committee. More detailed information on the committees can be found on their webpages. For more information or to join a committee, contact Nancy Freeman.

Steering Committee
The Steering Committee for the Wisconsin Cancer Council (WCC) consists of 15 members that meet quarterly. The Steering Committee provides overall leadership and oversight for the WCC. Read more.

Public Policy Committee
The WCC Public Policy Committee (PPC) has 20 members who recommend annual policy priorities and strategies to the Steering Committee. Read more.

Membership Committee
The WCC Membership Committee nominates organizations for membership on the Wisconsin Cancer Council. Currently, there are ten members of the Membership Committee. Read more.

Nominating Committee
The WCC Nominating Committee recommends Council member organization's staff for leadership positions. The Nominating Committee is comprised of six members. Read more.

Awards Committee
The WCC Awards Committee nominates legislators, community members, and organizations for awards to recognize outstanding contributions to cancer control in Wisconsin. The Awards Committee has seven members. Read more.
