Implementation Projects

SunWise Poster Contest
Wisconsin participates annually in the national SunWise with SHADE poster contest. This is a way that WI CCC Program and WI Dept of Public Instruction can collaborate and promote sun safety. 2010 was the third year WI participated and we received 378 posters from 17 different teachers. WI CCC Program contributes the prizes for this contest and WI DPI does the promotional materials to teachers and schools. We plan to continue this collaboration in 2011.

DPH Program Integration
The WI CCC Program continues to be part of the WI Program Integration team. Wisconsin is one of 4 pilot states funded by CDC to develop a program integration logic model and workplan. The program integration workplan was submitted to CDC in early 2009. The WI CCC Program will continue to be a part of the Program Integration planning and implementation group that includes Nutrition and Physical Activity, Tobacco, Heart Disease & Stroke, Diabetes, Arthritis, Asthma, and the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey.
